Mirror Support Instructions
Simple Instructions for Installing Mirror Support Channels
What You Need:
- 2 Support Channels (A)
- 14 #8 Wood Screws (B)
- 6 Brackets (C)
- 6 Small Screws (in the brackets) (D)
All Brackets and Screws are packed inside the support channels. You don’t need any extra wood or metal pieces.
Step 1: Attach the Support Channels to the Mirror
- Take a support channel and place it on the back of your mirror. (make sure the holes are on the bottom)
- Use one screw to attach the top part of the channel to the mirror.
- Use one bracket and one screw to attach the bottom part of the channel to the mirror.
- Make sure the supports are straight and parallel (side by side) with each other.
Remember:
- If the supports are not straight, it’s wrong.
- If the supports are straight, it’s right.
Step 2: Attach the Brackets to the Dresser
- Find where the brackets will go on the back of the dresser.
- The brackets on the dresser should line up with the brackets on the mirror.
- Attach two brackets to the top edge of the dresser.
- If your dresser has a "blind rail" (a strong piece of wood inside), attach the other brackets to it. You might need to remove the drawers to see the "blind rail."
Remember:
- The distance between the brackets on the mirror should be the same as the distance between the brackets on the dresser.
Step 3: Connect the Mirror to the Dresser
- Put the supports attached to the mirror into the brackets on the dresser.
- Adjust the mirror to the height you want.
- Tighten the small screws in the brackets to hold the mirror in place.
